We were going (got allocated a place) but after a conversation with my DD at the weekend she has decided that she wants to stay closer to home from 16-18yrs old and the Brit School is a long way away so she would have to stay away from home Mon-Fri. Therefore we will be looking closer to home for a course for her to do.

When you say 'got allocated a place' do you mean on the course or on the Open Day

Hi Katymac,

I'm pretty sure it is just turn up. I phoned them a couple of weeks ago and that is what they told me - has anyone heard any different?

We are going for a look, although dd has never stayed away from home so it may not be an option.

Sorry, only just seen this! What strand is your dc interested in? Would be nice to meet other students.

OOps, just looked at your other posts, so am guessing dance/Musical Theatre from that amazing poster!

My In-Laws are taking my DD today as I have to work :-( If you see a hectic small woman with short dark hair who doesn't stop talking you've found my Mother-in-law lol

I guess your MIL won't want to talk to an imaginary person/hairy trucker from the internet ;)

I didn't realise that Italia Conti have an open day at their Guildford branch. Slightly gutted because I phoned their main number and they told me there weren't any open days. My DD is really interested in Italia Conti at Guildford because it wouldn't be too far for us.
