Hi. My ds is really interested in their 2 year btec course. I was just wondering if any of you have children who attend here. Silly question but is it the same as Italia Conti in London? If he was offered a place we would need accomodation for him - do any of you mums know of someone who stays here? So hard, knowing what to do for the best

Hi mogs - my dd goes here - she is 15 and is on their Professional Course (part time) Yes it is connected to the London school - the Principles are sisters! Italia Conti has quite a few Associate Schools. This is the first year they are offering the BTEC so can't really tell you much - although a good friend of dd will start here on the BTEC next week, so hopefully will have more detail soon!
They have open days in Sept/Oct/Nov so may be worth a look? We live local to the college so don't know about accommodation but a lot of it is above the college. The staff are lovely and very caring Please feel free to ask me any questions and I will try and help

Thank you so much for your reply. It looks a fantastic school and he is really interested in auditioning. We are going to book for an open day so he can go up and have a look at the accomodation that's available. Just hope it doesn't cost a ridiculous amount! So scary to think of them leaving home at 16, so it was nice to hear you say the staff are lovely and caring.

My ds is starting the btec course next week as well. He auditioned very late and was thrilled to get a place. Looks like there are 15 on the course.

Oooh! Well done to him, I hope he enjoys. 15-Blimey! thats not many! Can I ask you - Was the audition tough? We're in the process of trying to get everything organised before we send the application form off eg. Make sure he knows his monologues and dance routines. Hoping to send it by the end of the month. How soon after applying did they call you for an audition? Sorry for all the questions but we havent done anything like this before
