The RKA auditions are really fun don't even stress about it just be aware that if you make it through each round it is a very long day! But it's completely worth it xxx

Hey ... it's always hard getting a 'thanks, but no thanks' but it doesn't mean that you can't act. It just means that you weren't what they were looking for today ...

Hopefully you found the audition interesting and learnt something from the experience!

Do keep trying!

You are talented! Like you said, they are looking for something specific so it may have been nothing to do with your talent, it may have just been because you didn't fit what they were looking for at the time!
Too bad we couldn't finally meet each other! I went to Some Like It Hip Hop yesterday and came back really tired and decided that I was too tired to go! I don't really mind though because the play was AMAZING! Everybody should see it while its still on

Thanks sapphire and SNN :D . I decided to review what I did in the audition and I basically had some bad timing :)
But it was great fun and I loved doing it XX
P.s. SNN the quality of performance was really high and it didn't help that I was in a group mainly made up of 18 year old and up.

They probably put you in that group because of your height. But honestly improving with 18year olds when your 13 is going to be hard! They are going to have more mature humour/ themes when they are acting so no need to be upset!

You're not kidding about mature themes! Someone pretended to be pregnant another on drugs :P
Still loved it through but it wasn't done on height because there was still quite a few short people xx

Oh, maybe it was playing age? Either way, pregnancy and drugs isnt really age appropriate for us so good on you for just trying to keep up, they put you in a very uncomfortable situation.

Didn't get through the first round either but don't worry there was a boy there who was an amazing actor and I think he had a look for current films/tT shows but he didn't get through either. When I went downstairs again the guy said I had a strong look for current castings and it's just about what they specificity want and there are so many more times to try again, so it really is just great practice, personally it helps me to be more confident in auditions :)

Thanks SNN although it was hard work keeping up it was fun and I at least am now prepared if anything else like that happens again x
I don't think it was playing age either though because there was a small 11 year old and a small 12 year old in the group x :-k

I'm 11 and I'm 5"0 my audition was at 13:30 I found it odd that they put us in a mixed age group, I couldn't improvise because the scenes were about miscarriage and clubbing and hitting on girls, so it was really awkward for me.. Everyone in my group were 15 and above except me :S I didn't get past the improv
