Quick random summer related question

Post by Rachel_M »

This is probably a silly question, but I was just wondering if it's considered unprofessional at all to wear open toe shoes (like sandals, or flip flops) to auditions?

My dd is going to the Top Talent Agency auditions tomorrow and what with it being fairly hot weather at the moment, she isn't keen to wear socks & boots unless it's absolutely necessary!

I would have thought they wouldn't mind the younger ones wearing summer shoes, but seeing as my dd is 18, I wondered if they might expect her to look slightly more professional looking, regardless of the weather.

I'm probably massively over-thinking this as usual, but I thought I'd ask anyway!

I dont imagine that Warren has a flip-flop prejudice, but your DD will need to participate in the workshop, so trainers or jazz shoes are probably a better plan - there's always a risk of tripping over your own feet in sandals

But you're right - don't over think it, just tell your DD to have fun and enjoy the experience.

Good luck - let us know how you get on.

Thank you Deb! :) I think she's going to go with wearing sandals and taking her jazz shoes with her (if she can find them that is! )

Thank you! We will :D
