casting today for a new toy
hi, i was at a casting today with ds for a toy i am not sure what it was but he liked it and asked if he could get some! he told me that filming was 17 feb so i have spent all afternoon trying to organise a license in case he gets the part, i and am absolutely exhausted and frustrated! does the school and the dr surgery not understand the idea of urgency! are they always like this?

Well we usually have a doctors letter and school letter in date at all times. Then it's up to the local authority to do the licence. Depending on what area you live in depends how quickly they will do it.

sounds like a good plan, we have never done this before, i will make sure i have this for all the children now

Re: casting today for a new toy
Just a thought, but perhaps the school think that educating children should be their priority and I am sure that Doctors understand urgency when it comes to dealing with sick people. ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

Well Done to your ds Sophiesocks !
I have given up trying to get a doctors letter in time from my GP, as it's such a busy practice that it takes them at least a week or so. Also they charge about £40 or so for doing the form.
So now take my dd to a private GP. It costs a bit more, but on the plus side, we walk out with the form and also, he listens to my dd's heart, takes her blood pressure feels her tummy, measures her height and tests her urine. So at least I feel like she's had a bit of an MOT when she see's him !! It's quite good really because it's like an old fashioned 'check up',( which doctors don't seem to do these days.)
Have you maybe got a private GP anywhere near you ? I think most places probably have. Might be worth looking into.
Brilliant news and I hope he has a great experience !
