Scream Management are decamping from their MediaCityUK offices and taking up residence at the prestigious resort town theatre for a day of auditions in an effort to sign up the 'next big thing' for a host of West End productions. The event will take place at the Grand Theatre on Sunday 13th July, with a 11am start.
"We're looking for young performers between the ages of seven and fourteen," explains senior kids agent Jessica Bell. "We've had a host of our talented youngsters from the agency appear onstage in leading roles in the West End productions of Billy Elliot, Matilda and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. We have a history of our youngsters as leading roles in musical theatre, which is testament to the great skills for talent-spotting of our team, and the respect which Scream Management has earned over the years."
No pre-booking is necessary for the Open Auditions, however prospective performers are asked to make sure they arrive in time: sign-in is 10.30am and auditions begin at 11am, but the agents can only see a limited amount of youngsters - please arrive in plenty of time! Make sure you bring a backing track (on CD or iPod/Smartphone) from a musical or Disney film, and be prepared to perform this in front of our panel of agents and industry professionals.
The agency's books are now open, so successful participants at the Open Auditions may be offered represented by Scream Management, with a view to putting them forward to audition for the West End productions and a whole host of other performing opportunities.
"This is a great chance for someone to really take to the floor and show us what they've got;" explains Jessica. "We know there's some great talent across the North West and the Fylde coast in particular, so we ally want to throw open the doors of the Grand Theatre and help some talented youngsters with their career, and give them the opportunity to audition for these big West End shows at a later date. This could be the start of something big for them!"
Scream Management was founded in 1998 and currently manages the careers of some of the country's most talented youngsters including BAFTA winners. Clients can be seen in the new Disney Maleficent film, on TV for Nickelodeon, Disney and ITV, leads in many CBBC dramas, and of course on stage in London's West End.
**PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS!!**
Existing Scream Management clients are welcome to attend, in addition to new talent.

I have to point out to people that WestEnd auditions are open to all and therefore parents don't even require an agent, you can apply yourself direct
I felt this thread a little misleading without stating that, sorry.

I thought that too, they also seem to insinuate the promise of Stardom is a reason for acting but to most of our DCs that isn't why they act!

Why existing clients should audition to get into their Busy Books, aren't they already in their books or maybe they don't know their existing clients very well /
