I checked.

They went into separate groups (MT/4 Alevels/Dance) did their prepared pieces, had individual interviews & left after that. DD was the last to leave in her group.

I'm sure she would know if she had been 'cut' but it sounds to me like she finished the day. End times are only approximate and as much to give people an idea for trains home etc. At any audition process where there are individual elements like songs, dances and interviews, timing is never going to be exact.

guessing that if they were in groups like that then there probably weren't any cuts!

I just get the impression a 'school' wouldn't operate like a 'college' & do cuts like that

Which colleges do cuts - I understand Performers do but I'm not sure about others?

I'd also like to know which colleges do 2nd auditions?

Are the recalls for DADA's at Easter (don't know why I think that  )?

I know the Laine are around about the 22nd April. Bird don't have recall auditions for dada's they tell you if you are lucky to get one after your first audition by letter. Not sure when the Urdang ones are but someone told me the dates are on their website.

Although my ds auditioned for the Arts Ed BA course, those who did not make it through to the next round very definitely knew so I would say that there were no cuts with your dd which I think is so much nicer. Everything crossed for the rest of the auditions.

Thanks Caroline - was that during the day, or during subsequent audition days?

I never even considered cuts or recalls (apart from a a vague idea that DADA auditions were at Easter)

Katymac, yes, the cuts were made on the day. Everybody took part in the morning session and then a few were asked to stay for the afternoon. There was then a week's wait until offer letters arrived. I think you then placed a deposit to hold the place and could then apply for a DADA. Don't think there was a separate audition for these. There were a few asked back to audition for the Andrew Lloyd Scholarship though. Hope that helps and good luck.
