Advice about tutoring on set

Post by poohstix »

Can someone tell me what the criteria is for clients to provide a tutor on set. I thought if kids were filming for 3 consecutive days then a tutor had to be provided, however having spoken to other parents whos children have filmed as extras for 3 days, a lot of them have said there wasn't a tutor?

Only know for lead roles they have to be tutored if filming for 3 days or over, but then the rule should apply to every child of school age. Can not see LEA giving out a licence for 3 days with out the company telling them that the children would not get any schooling on set. If you are worried contact your LEA and ask there advise. Don't need to give your name or say its about your child just ask about the ruling that will put your mind at rest.
