Gaining experience?

Post by tekobeko2 »

Hey :) I was wondering whether you could give advice on gaining experience to add to a CV. Just general things such as student films etc etc, and how to find auditions without an agent? Many thanks :)

There is a lot of info on this site that will answer your question. Just put your feet up for an hour or so and wrk your way through all the threads.

You'll get the inside track on all the regular open auditions and a lot of information about student films etc too. The people who post on this site are extremely generous with their knowledge, but even better than that, you'll read blow-by-blow accounts of auditions, recalls and performances that will help you to decide what you want to do.

All it will cost you is your time.

Hope this helps

Hi

I don't know how old you are but you may find "Actors' Yearbook" a good investment.

Not only does it gave loads of great contacts in it but it also has some excellent articles about the business which are particulary relevant to those starting out.

Best of luck.
