Have you paid them anything tizzy?

Your dd really should have Spotlight entry if she is hoping for any kind of acting work.

Have to go out now, but will check back later.

They do charge an administration fee for the costs incurred in production of their talent web directory not for representation

You've got to just ride it out for a while and see what your agent comes up with but I do think if its acting your DD is interested in getting into then I'd be looking around elsewhere for agents who are more geared up for that and who also have their children placed in spotlight.

Yes, this is a very familiar phrase used by agents who know that it is illegal to charge for anything else. If it's a digital directory then the costs should not be huge. They are supposed, in law, to represent the actual costs involved. The company should not be making a profit out of it. It would be interesting to know how many they have on their books and how much money they are making from their clients before they have to lift a finger to do anything else.

Back on my hobby horse again.

I do appreciate that children's agencies have overheads and work that adult agencies don't have. In my opinion agents should be covering this via higher commission.

In my opinion there is no need for an agent (unless it's an extras agency) to have its own directory - though they may choose to do so.

I would recommend that you do pay for Spotlight. If you change agents you can still have the Spotlight entry and Spotlight will change the agent contact details.

I hope that it works out well for you.
