JUNIOR CASTING WORKSHOP age 7 -13 on Friday May 31(Half term)at RADA Studios, Chenies Street, LONDON WC1 10.00 - 4.30- £60
Audition techniques, script reading, improvisation, audition piece to camera for appraisal and will be sent to you for showreel use. Parents come in for last hour and half to watch and ask questions. Taught by David Fielding Casting Director and Jane Sanger drama coach and film maker.
Hi, This workshop follows on by demand from the previous workshop and is
for 7 -13 year olds.
Despite the flack that was given on the previous post which was closed before anyone could answer positively,
can I say that we think the workshops are value for money. LOOK AT THE TESTIMONIALS

My dd went to the Sevenoaks workshop and despite having a great deal of experience in film she gained quite a lot from the workshop and so did I, with the parent part at the end. They gave a constructive critique which accompanied the monologue video that they sent about a week later.
As David had been a child actor he has experienced many of the things we/our dcs are now experiencing - and not so long ago that it is not relevant!
They talked about CV, photos, show reels, did their own monologues to camera and worked on scripts in groups. They also discussed the difference in auditioning for various types of work, eg adverts, childrens TV, adult drama etc which I found very interesting and I've notices subtle changes in dds approach to auditions since.
I would recommend this workshop. For those who have no film expereince (of which there were quite a few there at the same time as dd) it is a great insight into how the business works and how different acting for film is to theatre work.

I have just booked my younger 2 on this, as wasn't available to do the last one! Looking forward to it - shame we didn't make it francescasmum - would have been great to finally meet! x

My DD also attended the Seven Oaks workshop in April. Both David and Jane were lovely and very helpful and informative. My DD has taken forward the tips she got and hopefully it will lead to future projects. The video of their script work and monologues is extremelt helpful to have. We hope to get to another workshop late this year
