Kccp and Agent!
Hi my ds has a very good agent who does send him to castings. To build up his credits I thought it might be good to try and get some short film experience so have registered with kccp. Could you tell me... If I apply for short film/commercial for ds and get a response back, do I then have to call his agent and go through them or do I just go ahead with it myself?

Que sera sera

I would just check with your agent to be on the safe side but I'm able to arrange auditions etc.. for my dd. If she receives any 'paid' work though I have to inform the agency as they still receive a % of the earnings. Most short films tend to be unpaid or expenses only so you should be ok.
Good luck

I agree about informing your agent. Let your agent know that you are looking for short film experience: they may get to hear about opportunities that they can pass on to you.
It's very important to keep your agent informed and to consult them before agreeing to any work or auditions because you may inadvertently scupper something they have in the pipeline. You don't want to agree to something that means you are unavailable for paid work via the agent. I would not arrange for any commercial casting that is not via your agent. CCP often carries information from companies that try to undercut the going rate. Your agent may be able to negotiate the correct rate for you (and in any case will probably already have submitted you for any suitable commercial castings).
If I spot opportunities I always check them out with my agent first.

hello hun
agree with the above excellent advice, and let the agent know, little man should do well on KCCP, we have had no luck but he is at a great age for casting so you have nothing to lose !!!
