Sorry to hear this ... hopefully something good for your DD is just around the corner

Never mind - sometimes its just not to be, is it?
Well done to her for having a go. Not many kids even get to audition. And well done to you for supporting her through it.
Good luck for her next audition. I'm sure something amazing will turn up soon.

thanks deb - you always know exactly what to say to cheer a person up
sometimes it feels like a thankless task taking them to all these things, but she loved the workshop and has no idea she didn't get a part, and to be honest i was a little nervous about the late rehearsals as she is an early to bed kind of girl, thanks for sharing the details as she really enjoyed the audition x

In my opinion, the trick is to appreciate what they have done, because the outcomes are so out of our control. Isn't it stunning that our kids are prepared to go to auditions instead of sitting in front of the TV or playing video games all day? Isn't it amazing how they do their best even if they have to wait around in noisy, boring places with very little to amuse them? Isn't it awesome how they take the rough with the smooth and are always chuffed to get a part but accept that this doesn't always happen?
And you should always appreciate your role in this. There are a lot of talented kids out there who won't get the chance to have a go because their parents don't do what you have done. Your role is not insignificant so, even if the answer is a 'no', you need to remember that your kids are experiencing stuff that others can only dream of - thanks to you.
Here's to the next one!

So sorry sophiesocks - The right part will come along soon I am sure! We just have to keep taking our children to auditions which at the end of the day can only provide valuable experience for when the ideal show comes along! x

So did my son! so sad for him because he claimed he work hard a bit guilty for making him do the audition.
