Sole Agency

Post by savedgirl »

My DD has been accepted by a sole agency who take 25-37.5% commision excluding travel costs. Is this a normal amount to take as it seems quite a lot - and is it good to be in a sole agency? Or should we try somewhere else?

That does seem very high, dds last agent took 25% her new one takes 15%. I think these figures are far more 'normal'

I agree - that does seem above average - Lot of agents are Sole Agency to stop any conflict of another agent putting your ds or dd up for same audition. They generally all get same casting breakdowns anyway- but you can have a model agent usually and a seperate one for acting which a lot do.
