i'm not sure which one?!
I'm torn between London studios and Laines for september 2012 entry. I liked both so much and they are both brilliant colleges but i think i preferred the friendly atmosphere and building at studios whereas i liked the classes and teachers more at Laines! I'm so stuck on which one i should go for. Can anyone help let me know the advantages/ disadvantages youve heard from people?
Re: i'm not sure which one?!
My DD has friends at both and they each love their respective places - which doesnt help you much!! However, they are both excellent colleges with good reputations. I would go with the one you felt most at home at - what my DD calls "the feel of the place". If your gut is telling you something its probably the right thing to do!!
Good luck in wherever you choose. Well done for having 2 offers - although its a difficult decision its a nice problem to have

I would say Laines seem to produce more 'all rounders' what a nice choice to have you must be very talented
Re: i'm not sure which one?!
well done to you
.congratulations
Imagining travelling and working there everyday, but LOCATION if you're really stuck on a decision..is everything.., the shortest journey time makes life easier - but the environment you're in is really important, the building, whether the rooms are bright and welcoming - Its hard when you come away liking the people and staff at both..
I agree with Welshmum....go with your gut instinct, it's usually right and whichever felt right - good luck

My dd has done alot of UK tours and pantos where they use local kids and the cast of the touring dancers always contain much more ex-Laines than Studio's.. Also the ensemble for panto are usually 90% 3rd year Laines students, they get to do alot of tv corporate shows while at college....... I would def say that Laines opens more doors.
