'Welsh film seeks young actress - UK' - CAUTION!

Post by Jeanie »

Anyone applied for this on Starnow?
http://www.starnow.co.uk/profile/Profil ... id=2015519

Ella, a young quiet girl
Females, aged 6 to 10 from United Kingdom

Minimum Acting experience: No previous acting experience

I think it's a scam:

http://protheroeproductions.webs.com/voteforella.htm (All set up with a vote for and pay for votes package). [-X [-X {evil}

There also appears to be a thread about the same Darren Protheroe on Money Savings Expert about a web design company. I suggest you do some googling before attending the"audition"!

He set up a phone vote for this on Starnow as well, we reported him day before yesterday, and got an email from starnow saying he was banned, he clearly isn't or at least his company isn't as they are back up advertising for castings, now minus the phone vote - I am going to report him again.....

Thanks Riverdance.

He's also written a book:

I bet I can guess what's in his top 10!

You can click on the 'REPORT THIS' button and write details. StarNow are very good at getting back to you quickly and happy to remove dodgy adverts.

The "Welsh film" has been removed but there's another one:

"Looking for young girl, film "Blagger" Auditioning next week PAID - UK"

We require a 6-10 year old girl preferably with experience to play Alice's daughter in our crime feature thriller Blagger which will be shot in Swansea over a few days
ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES PAID + PAID WORK
In order to secure your place in our film, you will be given a UID number and a voting number for your friends, family and public to call, get the 10 digit number and enter it on our website
the more votes you get - the more chance you got of winning the part!
So if you want to be in this film or you want your child to be in this film which we intend to market it at film festivals in due course then please request your number today

-persistent isn't he?

As advised,I have reported this one.

 Yep, definitely persistent. Do please report this idiot to StarNow asap - they are quick to remove these types of thing.
