Anyone any experience of Susan Roberts Academy? Ds has been offered representation after attending a workshop at a drama school audition.
Would like to know if anyone knows anything about them?
thanks

Re: SRA anyone?
My dd was there! She is already an actors workshop member and it's a fantastic drama school to be part of, so well done to your ds for getting a place! The end of year showcase this year was amazing.
Dd went yesturday as we are no longer with A&J due to being messed around and a lack of auditions so we thought we would try SRA.
We know a few children that seem to be doing well there and I like the fact photoshoots are done in Bristol rather than having to travel to London like with a&j.
They are a boutique agency and don't take any kids that they don't feel they can get work, they also have a very good relationship with the actors workshop which I think is helpful. So it sounds to me like it's worth giving it a go.

Thanks Peanuts, good to hear its a great drama school.
We didn't know anything about it until I stumbled across an article on the web yesterday lunchtime advertising the session, so I phoned to see if we could go. Within an hour of finding out about it we were there, and in no time at all had been offered a place in the drama class and found an agent who was really keen to take ds onto his books. When David found out DS was 16 in a few weeks he couldn't believe it and said he could put him up for parts for 11 year olds, so he was really pleased.
Ds auditioned for A & J a few months ago - they said they liked him but didn't have enough work on their books to take him on. Yesterday it was quite refreshing to be with people so enthusuastic. Perhaps ds will see your daughter, he will be in the 2nd 4-6pm session on sunday.
I have to say i came out of the session feeling a bit overwhelmed as it had all happened so quickly, and I did wonder if I was doing the right thing..... so I'm glad to get your reassurances.
