getting an agent

My daughter has just turned 12 and i understand that she needs to get an agent should she wish to progress.
She dances and has singing lessons and has been in pantos etc.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to find an agent it all feels like a total mine field !
Any help will be gratefully received.

Hello there

It will be well worth doing a search of this site on the topic of agents. It might take a while to trawl through some of the posts but I think it will pay dividends for you! The topic has been raised so often and there have been lots of helpful discussions on the subject.

Sadly, a lot of the info is gone from the site now, I think it was removed to try and stop it crashing I think there will be plenty of experienced people on here to help though, so hopefully we can rebuild that archive. Good luck in your search x

Did you have any luck finding an agent. I'm in the same boat. My son is 13 (nearly 14) and has just been accepted into the National Youth Theatre. He has loads of experience through his work in the local theatre and production companies, but he is really keen to go further and needs representation to do it.

We got Contacts 2010 so I guess it might just be a case of trawling through it and crossing fingers.
