Can anyone help with recommendations please - we feel like we're going round in circles between Uni's.
Daughter has a choice between LSC, Performers & Bird. She's turned down Italia & Wilkes for the right reasons, but we can't narrow down these last 3. Funding doesn't come into it (we will somehow find a way to fund the extra at LSC if needed). I'd just like an honest opinion from someone who has been there recently and can comment on the courses, teachers, future prospects... Any help really!!
She loved the audition days at all 3. Leaning more towards LSC but not 100% ready to commit to one place.
Before the auditions, she'd got her mind set on Bird as her first choice & Wilkes as her second choice. Now that's all gone out of the window and we're stuck in limbo.
Hi dancemum007
My Dd started at Bird in Sept. She also had an offer for Performers, & Laine, and waiting list for Urdang. She didn’t apply for LSC so can’t help with that one!
After all the open days & the auditions she thought all of them were fabulous courses, great teaching etc, and found it really hard to choose based on that. But her biggest take home she felt was down to location. Urdang ( and i’m guessing LSC

) is obviously very central London, Bird is 25 mins into central London on the train, but is situated in a busy high st area, with shops/cafes/ restaurants/pubs etc on the doorstep, and Performers is tucked away on the edge of a housing estate with barely any amenities close by. Speaking to students at the open days they all had to either drive in to Performers from their accommodation, or get the bus ( which all adds up) , and all said there wasn’t really anywhere to go out for a drink etc locally.
At Bird, Dd can walk to college in 10 mins, and they can all socialise without having to get taxis etc everywhere. ( Unless they want to go further afield of course!)
So i guess what i’m saying is think about life *outside* college too, and what your Dd is used to in that respect. Sidcup certainly felt the most like ‘home’, both to Dd and me .
Good luck with the decision, and well done to your Dd on 3 fabulous offers!
Edited to add my Dd is loving Bird so far. It’s obvs very hard work, but she’s 100% felt she made the right choice
