Auditioning for 2022 entry

Have you looked at The Brighton Academy - my DD was really impressed proper degree course but you can apply direct so you don’t use up a ucas place (free audition) and if you are offered you can then enter it in UCAS later once all your other places you have put on the form have been declined.
They have strong reputation and have 100% agents upon graduation and great alumni. It is proper full time stage school conservatoire training with high contact hours , small class 121vocal etc.

They have a MT course which is more dance focus and a PA more acting but both cover triple threat. There is also a dance degree. Degree accredited with Bath Spa.

Has anyone heard back from GSA? Info says we would hear within 4 weeks if selected for a recall and we haven’t heard yet. Others on DDs college PA course are also waiting to hear.

Anyone still waiting to hear from Emil Dale? DD had a recall last Saturday and has had friends who have have had rejection email but she is still waiting this end

My dd heard after about 5 or 6 weeks- it was a no- tapes watched multiple times over that period, her friends applied later but heard earlier so not sure there is any particular pattern to it! Hope you hear soon!

Ah that’s a shame, it’s so competitive with so few places at GSA. I’m crossing everything but prepared for a no. Do you have places secured anywhere else?

No but she's only done 2 so far- waiting on Italia Conti foundation tapes and arts ed in a few weeks. She is doing 4 A levels at a normal school with all the dance classes/singing/MT training on top so was very aware that time to audition and prepare tapes was limited so she's fully expecting to have to audition next year and has only gone for her top two for BA courses this year just for practise really- she would be very happy with an affordable foundation course as she is quite sick of studying! There were only 20 places available this year at GSA- just so competitive and we only know of one boy who has got a recall. It's a gorgeous place though if you can get in! Good luck!

Hi. Could you help with a dilemma. MY DD has been offer a foundation place at Bird and a degree place at a non accredited college that has been around for about 10 years or so. Does she go for the secure easy option or is that place at Bird worth the risk when she would need to audition again next year? What are people's experiences with foundation programs? Would someone with a degree from a small school get a look in in the west end? Thankyou

You can get the no.100 bus to lakeside they run very regularly, not sure about south end though sorry.

She has foundation offers at PPA, LSC and is awaiting Performers but thinks it has now grown too big.
