Has anyone heard when they are casting for The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Birmingham Rep. Thanks

Just heard that they will not be casting children in this production. I imagine they will be using small adults instead. I have seen a production using adults and it looks ridiculous!

That's a shame would have been an opportunity for some talented kids who aren't within the M25 to go for a big/professional production.

I can suspend my belief for many things but can't watch adults play children.
They over act,look freaky and even my 7 year old son said how stupid it was!

I've only ever been to see one production that used adults as children and we didn't enjoy it. My daughter found it quite insulting!

The Railway Children at Kings Cross used adults who were in their 20's-30's, I will NOT ever be watching a show where adults are kids again put it that way.

We saw Hetty Feather last summer and thought it was brilliant, all parts were played by adults.

Saw railway children recently - great production but thoroughly spoiled by the adults playing the kids roles. They looked ridiculous. As they had to licence kids for the ensemble parts I'm not sure why they had to use adults for the main roles.

Totally agree. we saw The twits at the Royal Court - brilliant production but using adults for the monkey children just didn't work. Why why why??
