Looks like the planned summer project at the local theatre may be cancelled so looking for an alternative has anyone experience of the 'Westend Experience Summers Schools'?

DD did a local half-term course & so has my DH

They really, really enjoyed them, but DD said it was a do 'once' thing for her; she learnt what she learnt and while she would go again and have loads of fun she didn't think it would stretch her a second time. But she went when she was about 15 and we were looking for courses after that to help with auditions, she thinks she would have loved doing this every year from about 8 upwards (if we could have afforded it [-( )

My DD does 'The Westend Experience' each year and thinks it's great. Not sure if it's Sussex based only though, just google it. The amount she learns in a week is amazing and the show that is held at the end of the week is (in my eyes) also amazing. A week of talented, hard working professionals teaching talented, hard working kids. She is actually doing 2 weeks this year as she loves it so much.Maybe in a few years I'll let her go to the summer theatre experiences that Laines or Birds hold but for now we are happy having Westend stars come and teach for 5 days. :) :)
