Is anyone at Italia Conti, I have some questions.....

DD has been offered a place
So:
1) How does the whole DaDA thing work - 2 mums have told me different things one child had a DaDA audition and the other didn't; so I need more data to create a consensus
2 )I have been told they prioritise Acting and singing over dancing.....is that true?
3) Where do you live?
4) How long are your days?
TIA

Brilliant, congratulations to your DD. You must be very pleased. Is it for London or Guildford?

Wasn't there any info in with the offer letter? You have to fill in an initial form declaring your income and they usually send that with offer, then they know who is eligible and who isn't. From what I remember last year we filled that one in then they sent the massive form when they awarded it because I knew before I even opened it she had got one.

It's London
When I send the £250 I'll get DaDA info......

Congratulations!
You're both working so hard, it's great to get some offers, isn't it?

Thanks - It's exciting
We have 1 'proper' offer, 3 pre-voc/foundation, 2 BTEC, 2 refusals post audition & 1 refusal pre-audition - oh & 1 outstanding.....which is pretty good imo

Sorry for my ignorance but surely you don't have to send £250 before you can even apply for a DADA? Sorry but I couldn't pay that upfront

They did this last year too, they must make a fortune!
Consider this though, last year of the 3 from dd foundation course that got in one was awarded a DaDA (dd) but the other two received a fee reduction of £6000.
So there are other awards worth waiting for.

But it's a real money spinner & according to regulations you shouldn't have to pay it; but who'd rock the boat?

Hi, just wondering is the £250 non refundable, or do you get it back if you can't take up the place?

I 'think' you get it back if you get a DaDA but not if you don't (but I'n not sure)

Can anybody answer the following: Scholarships for Italia Conto - does every child that applies get to audition and if not do they cash the registration fee?? Anybody know how long it takes to be told if you have an audition as closing date is 4 days before the audition date?? Thanks
