Did you go to the open day? They covered lots of questions then and we had the chance to question pupils. Found out more from them actually - they were really open and friendly. When is your audition?

DD's audition is on the 12th & we didn't decide to apply until quite late so we missed any Open Days (feel a bit stupid about that really - but her dance teacher insisted on her applying)

It seems quite an intense audition compared to others

My son is applying for the Btec course but his audition isn't until jan. They told us on the open day that they only have to do one monologue but still 3 dances-each about a minute long!i thought it may be less for the Btec and asked if it was the same and they said yes. It's in case anyone shows real talent and they can automatically suggest them for the 3 year course. Lots of luck!

We've got to do a song, a performed song (so basically a song & dance we guessed), a technical dance, a performance dance & 2 monologues

It's a lot isnt it. We were asked to do 3 dances - a tap, ballet and jazz (each around a minute long). They did originally say 2 monologues so I'm going to check with them again or maybe get him to know two - just in case
I remember seeing a forum on their website where pupils post their advice for auditions. Don't know if that will be of any help. We need to look at it again. Just hope that they can remain calm and show them their best.
