Didn't quite know what topic to put this in as you don't audition but...

Sounds exciting, you will be creating various scenes from the past, in groups, then putting it all together for a performance

A little more info
What is it?
Geraldine Pilgrim, Artistic Director of Corridor Performance Company is looking for Male and Female performers to take part in a unique participatory event. TOYNBEE is a promenade site- specific performance-installation in which groups of 10 spectators go on a dreamlike journey through the times and spaces of the historic site of Toynbee Hall and Studios, a centre of social, political and artistic activity since 1884. Animated by a cast of 100 participants, within a landscape of music, image and performance, unexpected fragments of the past contained within its walls wait to be revealed. Traces of lives are glimpsed out of windows, at the end of corridors and the turn of a stair, whilst footsteps echo to the sound of the different voices of the contemporary East End.
As TOYNBEE will create dialogues between its past and future, there are both period and contemporary images to perform, create, source, hire, costume and make- including: A library transformed into a Museum, an Edwardian theatre discovered through the door of a contemporary set, a Brick Lane Indian restaurant revealed above a Victorian student dining room as a clock splits in half. Images for performers include a high energy street dance group, a 1930s audience in evening dress watching an opera, 3 female opera singers performing Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado, Edwardian Oxbridge students, Bhangra dancers, 2nd World War air raid wardens, Contemporary Brick Lane tourists and I.T workers, Victorian Philanthropists, 1970s Ballroom dancers, 1950s life drawing students, 1912 Olympic Athletes, 1960s Mods and models,1st World War Soldiers-a klezmer band, a Bengali singer and many more.....
