Something for nothing....

I had been kicking myself that our late booked holiday meant DD was missing an agency audition AND the chance to apply for something close to home. Whilst I'm sorry for F it turned out this way, I'm pleased to have the 'if only we'd been around' taken away.

Agree about the something for nothing too - are pop videos always like that?!

If they said it was for nothing in the first place we may have considered it, as it was she did an expenses only music video the next day for a different band. It was more the way they did it that I didn't approve of. I applied through KCCP which said £50 + expenses and they looked at dds profile more than 10 times in 2 days, then nothing. Then it was on Starnow the next week so I applied through that site too. About half an hour later they called offering her the job.
After a few phone calls and e-mails organising everything they sent another e-mail confirming things which asked at the bottom how much we thought our expenses would be because they had only budgeted £15 for expenses for each child. It would cost us about £45 in petrol but £15 towards the petrol on top of the £50 dd was getting then I didn't mind. When I mentioned this the producer wrote " What £50? I don't know what you are talking about!" I mentioned KCCP advert and he said Oh, we didn't see her profile on KCCP, we saw it Star Now!
On Star Now you can not see when an employer has looked at your profile but you can on KCCP so I knew they had looked at her and it even said 'Under consideration' next to her application!
You have to be vary careful in this game, there are so many people willing to exploit those who have little or no experience, or those who are so desperate for their child to do something/anything that they accept this sort of behaviour.

It's so lucky you found out before actually turning up! Glad F had another fab project to do instead

They could have had a superb little actress in F !!!

I have had that with ds before, if they have the money to pay the kids should pay them makes me so cross. Have you contacted KCCP to tell them what this company did?
