I am not in any rush. Any information would help. He is at stagecoach at the moment and we have to give half a terms notice when we are leaving. Not even sure we can afford it yet. I want to see how much more it will be compared to stagecoach which is £324 for 12 weeks. I can imagine it being very expensive! Will have to start doing some research. :D

Hi I don't go to the Saturday School anymore but went there for years when I was younger - thoroughly enjoyed it and could not recommend it enough!

my dd is at the Guildford Conti - Thurs/Fri/Sat she absolutely loves it, wasn't aware that the London school did Saturdays as a lot of the students come to Guildford on a Saturday - but I may be wrong :?

Think you will find that other places are no more than Stagecoach and very often less!! My dd started out with Stagecoach years ago before moving to two other well known stage schools for Saturdays and Stagecoach was by far the most expensive.

Hi - we've children at the Barbican Saturday School and have been going there for years! Since january they've swtiched to 5 x 8 week terms, which some people like as it means more weeks and more classes and others dislike as classes continue through holidays and half terms to some extent. You can select as many/ few classes as you want to do and current fees are £65 per class (1 hour) per 8 weeks. Kat Dale is the manager there and very approachable. You can find out more here:

Next term starts 31st August 2013.

The good thing about Conti's is the hour lessons are specialised
tap, modern, ballet, LAMDA, production, singing etc etc , a three hour "club" style performing arts school is not enough for my DS, and I like the idea of it all being done in one day.
Leaving evenings free in the week for homework  and maybe something else.
Although an hour's ballet is not enough per week to progress IMO.

It sounds like a great Saturday school up there GO,

let us know what you decide :D

RDF I look back on the days when it was all done and dusted on a Saturday quite fondly...it was exactly for the Ballet that our eldest expanded her week and now there aren't many days where she doesn't dance! Aside from being only once per week, they take Ballet through to Grade 7 inclusive, so if you want to pursue the vocational ballet grades you need to look elsewhere. That said, DD took all her RAD Ballet exams via Italia Conti Saturday school up to and including Grade 5 and got good results. As RDF says they do teach each subject in separate classes and you can pick and choose what you want to do. Some follow a syllabus and take exams with RAD, ISTD, LCM and LAMDA and some are more free work with no specific syllabus or exams, but still taught by fully qualified teachers like Drama, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Production. There is even an adult fitness class which I'm told is very good :-)
