Hi there everyone.
I desperately need all your help. My very precious son died in a road accident and since then the only thing that is keeping me going is my quest to make my gorgeous grand-daughter Izzie famous. I have entered her into the Face of Kinder and need help to get some votes, i have no family to ask and few close friends and thought maybe there would be some lovely peeps in here who can help me out. This is her link - https://www.faceofkinder.com/gallery/en ... 935b0ff20d Please be sure once you have voted, to click the link in your email to ensure your very precious vote counts and helps her into the final. Thankyou so much in advance xxx <3 xxx

I feel so dreadfully sad for you, I too have had a young son pass away. By all means suport & guide her but I feel extremely uncomfortable with your "quest to make her famous"

Yes i agree, 'famous' was a bit of an extreme word to have used. It's a bit of light hearted fun and gives me something to do by rallying support and hopefully votes for her, i think she is gorgeous and it is exciting trying to get her into the final, anything that makes us smile is a good thing xx

I have voted for her - she is lovely!

I do hate that kinder comp though , they want everything apart from your bust measurement!

I hope she does really well for you all

Thankyou so very much to those of you that have voted so far. This certainly is a very popular/busy place to be! Over 200 people have passed by in the past couple of days. Imagine if you had all taken a couple of minutes to click the link and vote. She would make it into the final for sure.
Imagine later in the year and you walk into your local supermarket and see izzie on the boxes of chocolate bars and you can tell yourself that you helped to put her there! And that would = a very happy little girl AND a very very proud Nan. xxx

Wish you and your granddaughter the very best of luck VeryproudNana but I'm afraid I don't give my name and address out on random sites in order to vote.
Sorry - but fingers crossed for her x

I feel the same as DanceDiva I'm afraid.

I wish her luck if this is what she enjoys.

I hope you both find ways to make you smile after the death of your son - I am so very sorry - the death of a child at any age is a truly dreadful thing. My heart goes out to anyone who has been/is going through this.

How many children and grandchildren do you have?

I understand you not wanting to put personal info on a comp site. You only need your email really so you can verify your vote is real to stop the cheaters out there. My daughter went to do her vote off my computer and didnt want to use the same address i did so just put the address of the local chip shop and her vote worked. :)

I have 3 daughters and 3 grandaughters and a week ago my 1st little grandson arrived. xx

So truly very sorry for the loss of your son, I can only imagine how sad and difficult it must be for you. But as I sure you must know your grand dd will surely do him proud in whatever she achieves. chin up and I'm sure all other Napm'ers will agree we will definitely look forward to hear more of her successes and achievements in the following months and years to come. Much Love

Very proud nana, this must be a very difficult time for you all.

Please do make all this very light hearted for your granddaughter, all this performance/modelling world is usually one of constant rejection. For most nAPMs the experience will be one where a child just wants to perform. I don't think my DD has grasped the idea of famous children yet, she just finds her classes and performances absorbing and stimulating, and I'm happy she can cope with rejection without lasting emotional damage. The last things you need is a messed up teenager with low self esteem.

Good luck in all your endeavours.

Is it just me....?

This little girl looks awfully familiar and yet I do not know the family that these posts describe. Also, the quote that accompanies it seems rather odd coming from a Grandmother.....

I do hope that this is not a scam.

It's not just you funnygirl.

However, knowing families that have lost children and knowing the endless heartache they endure, I would prefer to offer my condolences and to accept this as true - because it would be dreadful to think that someone would use such a thing to garner votes.

I think the competition itself is a bit daft (except from Kinder's point of view) - but that's just my opinion and I understand that others might enjoy it/get something from it.

In my opinion, Kinder should be paying the models they use for their advertising.

I share Gatesheadangel's concern about disappointment and rejection too - though a quick scout round the internet does seem to suggest that this is not the first time Izzie has entered the competition or done modelling work, unless she has a doppelganger with the same name...

OMG! I really cannot believe you are suggesting that i would make up losing my child....

If Izzie looks familiar to you then i am pleased as this is my aim in life right now, rightly or wrongly - you will all have your own personal opinions on that. I would love to hear where you have seen her. Would make my day :)

I agree, whole-heartedly, that voting comps are rubbish and should be banned, but izzie would like to win this one so i will do whatever i can to help make it happen for her. The final 6 children will be chosen by judges. All i need is some nice peeps to help by taking 2 or 3 mins to vote and hopefully get her into the final.

We are quite used to disappointment and rejection and take it all in our stride. As you have discovered i entered her last year and she didn't win.
This is mine and izzie's hobby, it gives me a purpose in life. Succeed or fail, it's fun - and that's all that matters.

I thought this would be a lovely and friendly place to come for help but if it means that mine and izzie's lives and my motives behind the request for help are going to be questioned then maybe i should admit defeat and just delete my post :(
