Audition we didn't apply to ?

Is it normal to be contacted for n audition you have not applied too, my daughter has a profile on kccp and has been pm about an audition on Sunday for a short film, just wondered what to make of it

It happens.
But ask them lots of questions, and look out for anything that seems even slightly "off". Feel free to post the information here for comments.
We had a contact for a student film through kccp a while ago, which seemed legit, but after getting a synopsis through from them, the subject matter was a bit disconcerting (roughly, it involved the kids discovering a dead body...) so we decided it wasn't really something we wanted DD to do and so declined their offer..

Wev'e had a few requests like this, I think it's quite common. DS did a short film recently which they contacted us directly for.
I'd agree with Irrelevants comment, check them out and see what you think

Agree - we had quite a good film via this route - just be careful what you sign up to. Good that your profile is being viewed though.

Thank you, took all your advise and did some research and all seems above board and relived that other people have been asked to audition this way, Shes auditioning on Sunday x

It was a lovely audition and recived a call yesterday to say she has the part, it's for a student film and think it will be a really good experiance, thank you again for your replies, you are the best
