Just out of curiousity, I was wondering if any of you had heard of 'Charles & Ko' model agency?
Apparently they are the UK's leading ethical agency.

I would say it was one to avoid, personally.

I don't like: Please note: Models must have a professional portfolio to present on the website.

That sounds to me as though they will be trying to get people to pay to have photos taken - I might be wrong, but it would certainly be something I'd want to check up on.

Also, I had a very quick scoot round the site and read the blog - any agency that would allow copy of this standard to go out on the internet as publicity is not one I would want to be represented by:

Do you know of any genuine acting/commercial agencies around the London Area then?x

There are quite a lot mentioned on this site - have a good look round the agencies section.

I think you just have to do your own checking out of the agency really. What suits one won't suit another. There's a lot of information and advice and opinion about looking for agencies so settle down with a cuppa (or your beverage of choice ) and have a good read.

If you want an acting agency, you do need one who insists on meeting you and knows what you can do/has seen you perform/will audition you.
