DD missed her Easter course (although she did the Lion King one at Millennium for one day & loved it)
Are there any one day courses/workshops around during half-term?
TIA

We had an email from NYMT about a 3 day non residential course in London. Have deleted it but the details are probably on their website....

The NYMT one is still on their website and although it is 3 days you can book the one, two or three days.
My DD is doing the first two days as she has a photo shoot booked for the 3rd day so can't make that one.
Really excited to be doing NYMT at long last as a lot of them clash with her CAT syllabus.

It looks really good
Vocal Tech workshop, Acting Through Song, West End Dance Routines, Spotlight On… The Sherman Brothers - all look really interesting & DD is really keen, but on the first day it talks about "Dance workshop for actors and singers" which DD is a bit worried about as she isn't a singer & is a dancer; but I guess all technique is good

Ringing round relatives now to find accommodation for her - it's never straight forward; my uncle, who has had her before, is renovating his house so can't have her to stay just now

Hi,
I've just booked dd on to the 2nd day of the courses at NYMT. Wonder how many they will take?

Goodness - should I book and then find accommodation later?
I think everyone is away for the bank holiday weekend

As it said 'first come, first served' and DD has missed out on so many of these things because we are always away at the time of the actual show or this year we were away when they were doing auditions, so we agreed to book one day and keep looking for other things and also for pre-audition and open days for next academic year. We are okay as dd is used to going into London on her own in daytime now on the train and we are not too far out.

Just to check; if you're a dancer rather than a singer would you do this course?

Hi Katymac
Have you received 'further details' yet? We've only had confirmation of place for Tuesday.
