Oh you lucky lucky Londoners - I see that the Globe are starting a new indoor theatre programme and are forming a company of child actors to perform in it next April.

Thanks for posting - my DS is Shakepeare mad and would love to try out for this. Hope we hear more about how to audition.Will be keeping an eye out.

and only 16 children...that's tough odds for the amount that will apply, but how fantastic for those who get through, and they are clearly looking for diversity from classes, ethnicity, areas etc..
might give it a go..

anyone got an audition? d is very hopefull about this one as she loves shakespeare and has always wanted to perform at the globe, hope shes not let down

I applied and got an auto response saying:

Thank you for your interest in the Globe Young Players apprentice scheme. Due to the high volume of submissions we are unable to respond personally to every enquiry but all emails will be recorded and kept on file.

So I'm guessing that there won't be replies soon, the subject of the email also said that they were out of office.

Did everyone get the automated response that SNN got ? Because I don't think it means you haven't got in, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that it's just saying they won't if you don't get through xx

The auto-response was just to confirm that they had gotten it and to make sure that we included all of the necessary information in the email, if you didn't get it try to resend it incase it didn't send properly. The auto-response definitely wasn't to say that you hadn't gotten in or had, the are still at the very beginning of the process of casting it.
