The Voice
Loving this show - sooooooooo much better than the x factor. The quality of vocalists is great and thank goodness very few "sob stories". The "face off" format is very interesting - loved the Heard It Through The Grapevine duet last night
. Looking forward to part 2 tonight, and the live shows next week.

Re: The Voice
Havnt been so keen last few weeks and really not convinced anyone stands out for me but maybe when we are down to 5 per team they may!!
Will be interesting to see if DS friends Pixie and Indie get through tonight

Re: The Voice
I am enjoying the format, i think it's really fresh and interesting. Though i have to admit that i am not at all keen on the face off bit where they battle it out. I just don't like it, especially when i enjoy both of them or danny says about the person who he thinks he could put out there and instantly sell records...does that not defeat the whole point, where it is supposed to be about the voice moreso than the avility to market someone commercially?
Anyway, im enjoying it and going to stick with it. Especially like the judges, really great mix and i love jessie j! So real and down to earth.
Not sure i have a favourite yet either, so we shall see!

Re: The Voice
Didn't think the Live shows were as good as earlier shows but Jaz and Ruth were brilliant and I'm also enjoying Westendproducers tweets

Re: The Voice
I agree. I thought in the singoffs , most of them just seemed to try and out- shout eachother.
Yep, I liked Ruth too, and Jaz, best of a bad lot...I think his name helps a bit !
it's quite ruthless, lots of tears - which made me feel bit uncomfortable

Re: The Voice
If you're not sure who to vote for tonight, please give Alexs support. He's our local talent and although he's not been brillant so far, he's not had the type of songs he really can sing. I'm hoping he won't go out tonight..

Re: The Voice
I thought he was much better tonight. He could be quite a hearthrob as well

Ruth Ann was very out of tune
You cant hide that beneath lots of runs and trills. Doesn't matter how high you can sing it has to be in tune. Dt think she will be in after tomorrow

It wasn't good was it ! And actually they keep banging on about her being 18..... That's not young by today's standards..Welsh Mum wrote:Ruth Ann was very out of tune![]()

Re: The Voice
Is anyone else finding this rather boring now and much the same as any other reality show? Cant really say anyone stands out for me

Re: The Voice
yes very boring, switched off last weekend...
really tedious
As Westendproducer was tweeting " since when has pitching issues been an excuse for out of tune #dear "
and I have to say I totally agree

Re: The Voice
this show started off really well...with the judges turning round on their chairs - but the calibre of singers has been really disappointing
It may be just me, but noone seems to have charisma and stage presence
And whoever's responsible for wardrobe...needs glasses

Ruth is 20 - (Danny I think it was , mentioned her age, as he thought she was 18 , but she corrected him)...and she was very out of tuneriverdancefan wrote:And actually they keep banging on about her being 18..... That's not young by today's standards..
