Ds school are encouraging them to do work experience in the summer. Does anyone know anything about getting work experience for those still at school on the production side of film and TV?

Thanks :D

I know there are lots of possibilities for work experience at Media City in Manchester, but I think you may need to be over 18 for most of these. Check out the BBC website!

Hello,
I may be replying to late and your DS might have found a placement already however my DD's close friend did work expirence with a tv company called "Company"!! It's in London on drury lane. They made programes such as skins, prisoners wifes, wild at heart etc. My DD's friend was 16 and that was fine - not to sure about age below that but you can try?:)

This may not be the thing your looking for but she went places round London delivering messages/news to other tv companies - sat on in meeting discussing upcoming tv shows and they asked her to come up with her own idea for a new tv show that she then presented to the boss!! - they wanted to hear ideas from what the public would want to watch !
It was fun working alongside the other "runners" going to different London tv companies - it was interesting to see how it all works :)

Hope that was some help but ofcourse this was just an idea ! :)
