AGENTS, pushy or not?

hello, I'm new to this site and I was wondering if anyone could help me.
My DD has recently signed up with her first agent, she is in her 20s but looks very young for her age. She has been up for one major audition and is waiting to hear when the date for her recall is. We were wondering if you should ring up the agent to see if any news on dates ect is avaliable or wait until she is called? also we have been told shes been put foward for numerous jobs through spotlight, again should we wait until called or should she ring and pester a little?
