starnow applications

Hello! Just wondering if anyone has any info/tips about applying to STARNOW postings? I am wondering how long, on average, it takes to hear back from an application (I know, how long is a piece of string!!!?). Am guessing there are mums on here who may have some idea of that - and also, when your profile gets 'viewed' is there any way of telling WHO has viewed the profile? There is that facility on KCCP, and I wondered if I'm missing something here, or whether you just accept that there have been viewings, but without knowing from who?

Thanks for any advice,
Jenufa.

Hi, although you can never tell how long it will take to hear back or even if you will hear back, if you scrole right to the bottom of the application page it usually tells you the closing date for applications, this gives some clue. Having said that we have been offered parts before the application pariod is up before now. You can not see who has viewed you as far as I know.

I think the "piece of string" analogy is right. Some things we've applied for, we never heard from again! (a bit irritating as we do try to do some background research on the advertiser prior to contact). I imagine she didn't fit their mental picture of the role. Some, we did hear from (sending scripts etc) that was within a couple of weeks, presumably dgd on a shortlist, with a casting date. (a lot of adverts expire in a month but some are only on for days)
When you see the number of views that the advert gets, I suppose if only 50% actually apply, then advertisers must be snowed under, and have to do quite a bit of filtering.

For a short while they did have the number of applicants on each casting but they changed that to number of views. I liked it when I knew how many had applied, at least you knew whether it was worth applying, on job had over 3000 applicants so we didn't bother, another has 2 and dd didn't get an audition!
