Hi, wondering if anyone here has a subscription to starnow.co.uk?
Is it worth paying the money? Does anything ever come of it? Is it reputable? Are the jobs advertised genuine and safe, or do we need to check each individually?
Any advice/opinions gratefully accepted!

There are quite a few people on this forum who use it, so hopefully you will get information from them.
My advice/opinion is as follows:
A site like Starnow will work better for some people than others, so not everyone will have the same experience.
Starnow does not appear to vet or check any information that goes on to the site. All you need to post information about jobs and opportunities is an email address as far as I can see. This means that scams can and do happen so you need to use common sense and caution. Check all the information that you can and use a cynical eye when you are examining posts that appear to be offering the chance to be considered for main stream or high profile work - it would be very unlikely that it has come directly from the CD.
Sometimes there have been opportunities posted on Starnow that look as though someone is casting something but they are in fact trying to attract people to an agency.
