Freelance Chaperone

Hi

I'm new to this forum, it's lovely to find one dedicated to parents of performing children. Briefly I've just become a licensed freelance chaperone seen as though the threat of redundancy in my job is looming and I'm going to try and get as much work out of it as I can, although being based in Merseyside and not the South I'm not certain there's that much work. Anyway do any other mums do this freelance or know anyone who does and might have an idea what they charge?
Many Thanks

What a good idea, i've never heard of this before x as a working mum with no chance of holidays or time off term time this would be a definate interest for me x

How far would you travel and what would you charge?

Probably up to 30 miles. Not sure what to charge, I posted this to see if anyone has paid a freelance in the past!

Your best bet is to contact some kids agencies and they can advise you on rates of pay and maybe put you on their books as a chaperone?

I use a few agencies to provide chaperones, as a general guide £50/performance, (theatre) and £80/day. Hope this helps. x
