What does everyone think? I think potentially the male characters look great but very underwhelmed by the females . Why can't directors look further than Anne Hathaway? Also don't think Emma Watson will be right. However, will still go and see film

I agree Welsh mum-Emma Watson is no Cosette-can't picture that at all but i really hope she proves me wrong. Fantastic casting of Helena BC. Will look forward to this.

Remember IMdb isn't always accurate. At this stage of a film's production a lot of casting is just rumours. I don't think Emma Watson is playing Cosette, probably just added by an over-zealous fan.

But apparently they going to be looking for 17 and 18-year-olds to play the student revolutionaries, not actors in their 20s.

DS desperate to get on this film somewhere and somehow!!

Just looked up the basics on Wiki (??) and there seems to be quite a few roles for youngsters. I wonder where they will be recruited from. Also, Wiki (??) said that Cosette was supposed to be between 3 and 8 years old. Emma Watson may be good but that would be one hell of a performance!

I think Thalias Dad that there's usually a little Cosette and an adult Cosette. So the little Cosette plays the part of her when she was younger. They would get a little girl who looks like the adult actress I'd imagine. I've never actually seen the show though so correct me if I'm wrong folks !

I read this in Baz's column in the Daily Mail. Not surprised at Helena BC. Mmmmm Hugh Jackman! Now, all we want is all NAPM dd and ds to be in the cast.

Adult Cosette has to be able to sing doesn't she ? Don't tell me Emma Watson can do that too. Is there nothing that girl can't do ?!

I agree the male cast looks amazing and Geoffrey Rush and Helena BC will steal the show as the Thenardiers ( if I can drag my eyes away from Hugh Jackman for a second ) but Anne Hathaway and Emma Watson I'm just not sure...
