My dd is going next sat, but I know what u mean about the tickets, I got that info after regestering for audition. I remember last year I think a lit got posted about this on this site. Not sure what to do now???

They seemed to be letting loads through to the next round. If people didn't do particularly well, they often let them hv another go. Definitely quantity not quality.It is a money making scheme, but perfectly legal. I personally don't want to be wrapped up in it . I know I will ose my deposit, but I hope that is all that it involves.

Are the previous postings about Open Mic UK?
I'm not interested in it for my girls, but I have passed a link on to a friend and - having read this - wonder whether it should come with a health warning, financial or otherwise?
Any updates or further advice would be very gratefully received!

It certainly appears to be a money spinner. It costs to enter, but as they said if you turn up for the second audition. You are however expected to sell loads of tickets & advertise for them. It really wasn't my sort of thing I felt really pressured by the whole experience.
