Can you help?
It is a leading question ;)

Can you give me an idea of what you might pay for individual drama tuition? (Preparation for drama school auditions, general tuition or preparation for festivals). Also, if you were interested in attending small group classes (groups of between 6 and 10 participants) what would you consider to be a reasonable charge for an hour's drama tuition in this environment?

I am currently investigating the expansion of P B Theatricals (which currently does two shows a year) to provide more workshops and classes and possibly also some individual drama tuition.

Any ideas. comments, suggestions for the sort of class you think would be of interest/valuable would be welcome.

Thank you :)

I pay our LAMDA teacher around £23.50 per hour private tuition.

However I then do all the admin for the exams/festivals including entering them, resourcing monologues, buying the anthologies etc

I've paid our LAMDA teacher £20 for 45mins where she has taught from her home. If she uses the dance school's studio this adds another £10 hire. For group acting lessons in the studio(6 or more) the cost tends to be around £7 per hour. I hope this helps. Best of luck.......I would love my DD to have acting/drama training from you :D

Hi PG,

I charge £20 per hour for private tuition. Our group sessions work out at £4 per hour per head for groups of 10.

My wife and I set the prices based on what we would pay for our own daughter

I think I pay about £23 an hour for a 45min piano lesson, but I just did Grade 8 so it's quite advanced. I think something in the range of £20-£25 per hour would be reasonable - I'm assuming you live in London pg? And for a group session I think anything between £5-£12 per hour would be reasonable - depends how small the group is and what you are offering.

And yes please tell us when you start them and where they will be, would love to come!
