What direction to go in?!

Hi all, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.....

My ds is 7 and is desperate to perform. He has been attending Stagecoach for 3 years and just completed a run as 'Chip' in an amateur production of Beauty and The Beast. He wanted to join the Stagecoach agency but I felt that it was too big, as they take on everyone who applies for it, so I contacted A and J management for advice and after seeing a photo of ds we have a meeting with them next month. What my concerns are is that do we live too far from London to continue heading in this direction, we live in Somerset. My ds is so keen but we don't really know what to do for the best for him?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Ands

would suggest at 7 the same lots of others have done,

look for local and regional experiences,
a good local theatre based academy,
dance and singing lessons,

build up the CV and either

a. ds will get fed up, change interests,
b. become dedicated and focussed and at an later age will be well suited to the lng hauls to London......

Thanks for your views. It is such a big decision to make but we are looking at all options. He so wants it but we also need to be practical.

Will keep you posted...
