Hi There,

What an amazing site...what amazingly talented children and such dedicated parents........This is all new to me and we are slowly finding our way round this complicated and fascinating world!

Could someone please suggest a suitable short poem or piece of prose, my DS (9) is attending Jo Hawes Auditioning Masterclass soon and I am not sure of the type of piece she will expect. He is very excited and hopefully it guide him in the right direction for the future.

Many thanks..

Welcome to NAPM lovestoperform :D

Which workshop are you going to? We're off to the Kendal one.

We've the same problem for 12 year old ds. I am completely stuck. 10 year old dd has chosen a funny animal poem she likes. Hopefully that will be suitable.

Good luck finding something, and if anyone has any ideas for my ds..........

Hi it is an amazing site and I am just taking time now to look around it too.
http://www.dramaclasses.biz has a scripts/plays page that has some good links to monologues and poems it might be worth a look. It is always really hard finding the right piece. I found some great poems in The kingfisher Book of Verse selected by Roger McGough for my younger students.
Good luck.

Dd is 9 and we are going to the Birmingham one. As it is the day after our local speech & drama festival she is going to use the set poem she is performing at that.
