Two of my Dd's are registered with Kids London. My younger one has had a few jobs over the past few months, but my elder Dd hasnt had any as yet. It seems the older you are the less demand there is. Agency worked with photos I had provided initially, however have since paid for photos with their own photographer. Castings are time consuming and the few jobs she has had were booked on the strength of photos I provided. Younger Dd due to attend Sylvia Young Agency Workshop in half term, with the hope of getting her on their books for TV/Theatre jobs.

My son has been accepted by Kids London and Elisabeth Smith, kitsch Kids and Elliott Brown..... Ive also applied to Sylvia Young as my son goes to theatre school which he absolutly loves and will probably head down that route rather than the modelling. had a reply back saying if he's successful we will hear back within 2-4 weeks but not holding my breath.... he's quite young at the mo so not taking it all to seriously, more for confidence building and experience. have you heard anything of Elizabeth Smith agency and what there like? I think KL and ES are the two i will choose between. They both seem to have really good reviews on them.

HI stagecoach
Hope you got my message and that the info was helpful? I know it's hard when choosing agencies! Took me ages - ES are a good agency but I believe that they are better for babies than older children, but I could be wrong on this.

We found ES good but I think they are better for the younger children. My dd was with them when she was little and when I had my ds they were really excited about a new baby, asking what he weighed - when I said he was 8lb 6oz they said he was far too big for a new born which made me laugh!!!! 5 minutes old and already having to deal with his first rejection!!!!

Hi Wissymo,
Kids London sent booklet & application form within a week or two of application. Was a little dubious at first as there had been no personal contact eg. email, phone call or compliment slip addressed to myself or the children. KL generally makes contact via text, which can be a little frustrating. Castings usually take place after school in Central London, which is especially fun whilst dragging a less than happy kid around back streets in the rain!!!! The most frustrating thing has got to be the lack of feedback when you've taken the trouble to attend said castings.

Hiya i received an email from KL requesting clothes and shoe size etc... they then asked for another photo. They have said that forms are in the post. Ditzymum have you had many castings from them and do you know if they have a lot of children in each age on there books?

Youngest Dd has had about 8 castings and three jobs since signing up last summer. She didnt have to attend castings for jobs she has done. Personally think castings a bit pointless for child modelling purposes. Kids generally kick into gear on day of shoot, photographers very good at getting the best out of them.

ooh - it was a message - don't worry, it will be off in cyberspace somewhere

but is showing up as 'read' in my messages!! Was just to say that my 3 are with them and they are a good agency. You don't really hear much from them except for texts for castings/ availablilty and calls for jobs as a rule. This suits us fine as can call up if we have any questions and it isn't a problem.
I don't know any agency where you get feedback from a casting though, would be nice but there are so many children going to so many castings every day I think there just wouldn't be the time to do this and run a successful business - the payback comes in getting the job though
