My dd loves to dance. She has been dancing since she was 5 but just tap and jazz. If she decides she wants to follow this as a career I think ballet is needed. Have we left it too late for her to start learning, and do you think ballet classes will accept her at 13?

My ds started ballet at 18 so your dd is definitely not too late. I would contact a local school and have chat with them.

No it is not too late as some West End and Broadway performers have taken up ballet later. Also it does help if you have a history in dance. My ds took up ballroom and latin at 13 and after dancing for a year has done excellently in his first examinations. My dd has taken up tap at 11. I also know gymnasts who have taken up dancing at a later age. I would say give it a try.
