Hi. I'm hoping that someone knows the theatre and can help me with tickets. I'm planning on taking a very small 9 yr old with me who usually has to have a booster cushion in theatres. Would i be better off going in the stalls (row O 1-4) or Dress Circle (row k 9-12). I prefer being closer to the stage as my eye sight is appauling but i want the kids to be able to see. Sorry-i know this seems a daft request but we once spent over 60 pounds each on tickets for Mary Poppins and he couldnt see a thing -spent the whole time on my lap!

sorry don't know victoria palace- but have sat in many others and always prefer stalls as can see.....!!
Hate spending lots of money on tickets and then having to use binoculars, or being asked for a quid for opera glasses!!Which is hat seems to happen in dress circle unless t the very front of DC.
With regards the kids- we have developed strategies from time to time involving cushions brought with us- to addition of rolled up coats even on top of the cuhions etc etc . All the best laid plans go to pot when the person of 6'4 or woman with incredibly tall hair sits in front!

Thanks for your replies. I think we'll take our chance on the stalls and boost him up if there's someone tall in front. The tickets in the dress circle are more central but I'm concerned that it will be a long way back.

Have sat in the front row on the left hand side before. These aren't too bad at all & further back than those on the other side. Excellent value for money too . My DS was in a local production of Billy last year and loved it & was one of the fortunate ones to get to the West End Gala. Hope your DS enjoys it as much.

Scroll down to the section on the Stalls. You are not really allowed to cut and paste info from that site to this one (their rules) but it does mention the poor view in seats 1-6 from Rows B to T as the angle of the stage makes them poor value for money.

I have seen this show from the front stalls which was excellent and also from the Dress circle in the middle somewhere. In my opinion, it is much better to sit upstairs. I took my dd when she was a small 11 year old and we had seats in the back of the stalls which were terrible and she could hardly see a thing, just before the show started I went back to the box office and upgraded to the dress circle and had to pay the difference, however, for the whole overall experience it was well worth the money.

We've just managed to book tickets with 'UK Tickets'. Offered us row J in the stalls (and more central )for the same price. Just hope their a good company. Never booked with them before. Thanks again for the link-it was really useful.
