Hello.
I am aware that Ann Koska/Sally King are a very reputable agency but I am wondering:
Do clients only get 'extra' roles from them? Or do they also get clients the opportunity to audition for lead roles?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi we did music video with someone from this agency and it was not an extra role.
I do know of people who did extra work from them on Harry potter and other films.
I know they are based at a studios so that could be a big advantage
Bye

Hi - Could anyone with any info about this agency please PM me? Someone from the agency approached me about DS and if we did sign with an agent, it would have been AKSK because:
- They are highly recommended by my son's drama club.
- They provide transport to location, and although they are 45min from home, its still better than ferrying DS around myself.
If they are overcharging or only offering extra roles, then I guess we'll rethink. Is there anyone else you'd recommend?

I think they do quite a lot of extra work, in film and television. But I also know that one of the first set of Matildas had been registered with them. (Dgd went with her mother to the first London audition, and parents exchange information!). I've heard they do some West End placements.
They certainly don't take 60% of earnings!
They fulfill the most important criteria: They appear professional. They've been around a long time; they don't advertise and they have contacts in the entertainment business. Whether they'd suit your ds, only you can decide.

I think you have to pay quite a lot of money to auditon, - that was some years ago, it may have changed ?

You do not pay to audition. You pay a one off fee to register for the whole length of time the child is with them which could be up to the age of 16. You do not pay a registration fee each year as with some agencies. You also pay a small fee for photographs..the whole lot will cost under £200. They do not need to advertise and it is all word of mouth. That says a lot otherwise they would not have been going for so many years. They are very well thought of in the industry. Visit their website and you will see all this.. They are an agency for background roles but if a child is particularly talented they would be encouraged and put forward for other roles..

Also, I heard that they take 60% of your earnings, would greatly appreciate a PM from someone who could shed some light onto it all...
It is a registration which they hold every couple of months. Never advertised as they do not need to. You can enquire on their website. They do not take 60% of earnings!

Everyone i know with them only gets extra or background roles-none of them had to audition-just put forward by the Theatre school-no other Agents i know do that-how can they assess a childs ability without formally auditioning them? Id strongly advise approaching other Agents like Abacus, A& J, Jackie Palmer, Cs Management etc....who all seem to only put your child forward for feature roles. They all operate thorough audition proceedures too.

I thought that they were just an extra's agency so provide children for background work so no need to audition. The other agencies mentioned are not extra's agencies and therefore put their clients forward for feature roles which require you to audition. Suppose it depends what you want really.

my kids have 'graduated' from ak/sk, and they weren't as large then, so it may be different now - but ds had a feature role from them, and he wasn't the only one.
although you don't do an audition to join, they get to know the kids from the extras work. so know who they might put forward for feature work. extra work is interesting if your kids (and you - you'll need to do a lot of taking and collecting thoughak/ak have their own chaperones) have the time and the inclination - they can learn a lot about how a film is put together. once they get to secondary school and you need to think twice about time off, or once they get a 'proper' role, especially theatre, which is so time-consuming, you may well want them to give the extras stuff up
also, ak/sk were happy then if you had another agent - so if your main agency is happy too, your kids can have 2 sources of work/income
