K did a short student film, and I THINK that was equity minimum rate last May, and I seem to remember it was about £55.00 per day. Don't know for sure if this is absolute though - could just have been "going student rate"
That said, it's similar to what the BBC pay too...

For student films there is no equity miimum other than minimum wage which doesn't apply until age 16.
I'm not sure if there is an equity minimum child rate as equity will not accept child members. Youth membership is available to 14 and 15 year olds and equity mention on their website that they shoudl be earning half the adult rate.

There is no minimum wage for a 14 year old.
Minimum wage for a 16 year old is £3.57 per hour
For age 18 is £4.83
Age 21 and over is £5.80 per hour

They were possibly paying non student film rates then which are not available on their website.

Sorry Nicola, we are on the way to France at the moment so can`t really type that well.
Will e-mail to you on my return (Wednesday) but will not know much till that day anyway. Hope you`re well. x
It`s not a student film but a feature ( though small size I would think ) and it states minimum equity rate plus chaperone fee.

well it definitely wasn't paid like that or wouldn't have come out at £55.00! This is precisely what he said:
Equity - 55.23 GBP per day
which was authorised and administered (and paid directly by for that matter!) by the University of Westminster - I'm sure they're getting their figures from somewhere!!
