				Hi
Just wondering how your nephew is doing. Long, long , slow process I know but hoping these past few weeks have given the progress and recovery you've hoped for. Thinking of you all. x

Thanks for asking Avril, he is still in much the same position as he was the last time I posted. He keeps having problems with his temperature going up. I have not been able to see him for about three weeks as if you have a cough, cold or have been near anybody who is ill you can't go and see him as they try and keep him from getting infection. Unfortunately I was ill and so was one of my children so hopefully once all are free of sniffles we will get up there again.

Just to let you know that we are not allowed on the wards as there is norovirus. Let's hope he doesn't get that on top of it all!

This novovirus is a real problem at the moment, and people have the diarrhoea for nearly a week and stomach cramps for a fair few days still after that

. Hope he doesn't get it. Thinking of him and you still

Just a quick update: my nephew has survived norovirus and still has another infection but infections are par for the course when you are bedridden in hospital as your immmune system is depressed. It is now 6 months on and still little improvement in his condition but he is still here and still fighting. He wasn't allowed visitors for quite a while because of norovirus so at least we can get in to see him again. The nursing staff have been excellent.

My nephew has been moved to a hospital nearer home at last. He made the move successfully. Physically at least he is looking a lot better although it will be a very long haul.
