Very nice Bruno. Well done to your dd.
I always follow your posts as my dd is also just 13 and primarily a singer. She tends to sing classical these days with MT as her fun singing, and that seems to be the way she is going (she's also a chorister). I would love to know how to get her singing on to Youtube!

Well done K! She sings it so high, definitely a 'lilsoprano'!! Love that song as you know!
Is it a church school - the church looks lovely.
My dd's school is C of E and they use St Albans Abbey.

While Matt, Rebecca, Cher and One Direction were battling it out on Saturday's X factor, my dd was singing at a Christnas party at the Music Room, Wimbledon. It's a YMCA centre which gives kids who don't have the opportunity at home to play instruments, sing and record music. She applied through Starnow and was asked to do a short set.
Here's her version of Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love'

You have to know how to load your film from your camera onto your PC and save it as a flie. It needs to be in avi format (I think) which you can convert it to using a program called Prism. Then you just set up a Youtube account and upload it - click on 'Upload video' then browse and select file to upload.

I had high hopes last year when the music teacher picked out dd in her first music lesson while they were singing. She got the solo of Royal David's City in St Alban's Abbey and solos and duets in the school music concerts.
Unfortunately this year the music teacher seems to have lost the plot - the choir has shrunk to about 12 and my dd left because she says it was boring. A group of them lead by a V1th former have set up a Gospel choir with the help of a teacher but they don't get to perform at anything. Just got back from the Christmas Concert at which she and her friend did 'Over The rainbow' accompanied by two teachers on guitar and cello. It was fantastic, and when I thanked the teachers afterwards for all their hard work they said they'd only actually practiced it once with the girls!
If only we lived closer to the nearest performing arts specialist state school, but the area it's in is very expensive.

Thanks for that info Igloobabe. Think I will have to wait for my son to come home at Christmas to try it as I don't have a clue!

This is such a lovely thread, I am loving listening to everyone's DD/DSs singing, especially Christmas songs - makes me feel all festive

Bruno your DDs voice is beautiful - can't believe she had a cold! And igloobabe's DD wow! I loved hearing how amazed the audience were at her incredible voice
Here is a clip of the Chamber Choir from DS's school singing a different version of The Lord is my Shepherd, my DS is the soloist at the very beginning. My DH filmed this and deliberately filmed the ceiling!!
